Draft:Depriving someone who hasn't committed a crime of their right to bear arms, on the basis of past behavior, is a violation of the right to due process.

Short Retort[edit | edit source]
- Banning someone with a violent or criminal history from buying a gun is no different than banning someone with a bad driving record from obtaining a driving license. It's not criminal, it's civil, and therefor "due process" does not apply. It's about public safety.
